XXXI FIDE Congress

The Polish Association for European Law (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Prawa Europejskiego, PSPE) acts in its capacity as FIDE Presidency since 3 June 2023 and is organising the next FIDE Congress, which will take place in Katowice, Poland, from 28 to 31 May 2025.

In this endeavour, we are joined by the two co-hosts of the event, the city of Katowice and the University of Silesia.

On 3 June 2023, the FIDE Presidency has been transferred upon the organizers of the next FIDE Congress: Arabadjiev Alexander, President of FIDE 2021-2023, passed the torch to the President of the Polish Association, Maciej Szpunar, as for now on the President of FIDE 2023-2025.

Honorary Committee

Eminent scholars, including former Members of the Board of the Polish Association who immensely contributed to its creation and its success, accepted our invitation to join the Honorary Committee of the XXXI FIDE Congress in Katowice.

The Honorary Committee is composed of:

Topics

The XXXI FIDE Congress in Katowice will focus on three topics that were conceptualized with the involvement of:

  • national FIDE associations,
  • members of the Polish Association for European Law,
  • Topic Selection Committee,
  • EU institutions,
  • national practitioners (networks and associations).

The aforementioned three topics being:

EU Emergency Law

Topic II
EU Digital Economy: general framework (DSA/DMA) and specialised regimes

Topic III
Energy solidarity and energy security – from green transition to the EU’s crisis management
